Looking back now, for a very long time in my life, I never felt like I truly belonged. I was validating my worth based on what others thought of me and was primarily busy with fitting in. This resulted in complete burnout in my ’30, and I committed myself to a luxurious “recovery center” with intensive therapy.
After putting in all the hard work, I felt reborn again, and I thought I had it all figured out! I left my hometown and moved to Amsterdam.
but then
I was starting my Master’s, overworking, trying to look and act perfect all the time, again looking for that external validation and struggling with my fear of rejection and abandonment that kept me in toxic relationships in all areas of my life.
However, this time, it drove me over the edge…

Fleeing into unhealthy coping mechanisms, but they only made it much worse
Going back to therapy, but they couldn't provide me with the support that I needed
Reading books, doing meditation, taking courses, doing breathwork, but none of it was enough.
